As a Relief Night Care Worker in our care home, you will support residents overnight, ensuring their safety, comfort and wellbeing. Working flexibly as part of the night team, you will help maintain a calm and supportive environment throughout the night.
What your night will look like:
- Supporting residents with personal care during the night
- Carrying out regular checks and responding to call bells
- Supporting comfort, hydration and repositioning needs
- Maintaining a quiet and reassuring environment
- Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and reporting concerns
- Completing accurate care records and handovers
- Working closely with colleagues across the night shift
- Supporting early morning routines where required
About you:
You will bring patience, reliability and a calm approach to supporting older people overnight. You will understand the importance of dignity, reassurance and maintaining a safe environment during night shifts. Previous care experience is welcome but not essential, as full training and support will be provided. Basic IT skills are required for completing records and training. You will be willing to work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care if you do not already hold this qualification. You must be a member of the PVG Scheme and registered with the SSSC, or willing to join and register.
