Looking for a flexible role where you can make a real difference, in a way that works for you? Whether you’re returning to work, exploring a new direction or simply looking for a few hours that fit around your life, this could be just what you’re looking for.
At CrossReach, we understand that it’s often the small things that matter most. A calm presence, a shared smile, a bit of extra reassurance when it’s needed most. As a Relief Care Worker, you’ll be part of those everyday moments that help people feel safe, respected and cared for.
In this role, you’ll be:
- Supporting people with everyday routines such as washing, dressing, eating and moving safely
- Building kind, respectful relationships based on what matters most to each person
- Helping create an environment where people feel calm, supported and at home
- Working alongside a supportive team to meet emotional, physical and social needs
No previous care experience? That’s completely fine. We provide full training and ongoing support. If you don’t already have your SVQ Level 2 in Social Services and Healthcare, we’ll help you work towards it.
What we value most is your attitude and approach. We’re looking for people who:
- Are patient, kind and dependable
- Value every person’s dignity and independence
- Are comfortable working with others and open to learning
- Notice when someone might need extra support or encouragement
A role that fits around you. As part of our relief team, you can choose shifts that suit your lifestyle. Whether that’s evenings, weekends or occasional cover, we’ll work with what works for you.
We welcome applications from people of all ages, backgrounds and experiences. This includes disabled people, older workers, people with care experience and those exploring new careers.
You’ll need to join the PVG scheme and register with the SSSC. If that’s new to you, we’ll explain the process and support you every step of the way.
Not sure if you tick every box? That’s okay. If this sounds like the kind of role you’d enjoy, we encourage you to apply.
