Whether working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, those navigating grief and loss, or people living with trauma, this role offers the opportunity to provide life-changing support in a safe, confidential, and person-centred environment.
As a counsellor with CrossReach, you will deliver professional and ethical counselling sessions, working either one-to-one or with groups depending on the needs of the service. You’ll maintain clear and accurate records, contribute to service development, and collaborate with colleagues and external partners to ensure every client receives the best possible care.
At CrossReach, we understand the importance of work-life balance and offer various working patterns and hours to suit your needs and those of the service. These are temporary positions initially, but depending on funding, they may become permanent.
To succeed in this role, you’ll hold a recognised counselling qualification (minimum diploma level) and be registered with a relevant professional body such as BACP, COSCA, or UKCP. You’ll bring experience of working with a variety of client issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship challenges, as well as excellent communication skills, emotional resilience, and a strong commitment to dignity, inclusion, and respect.
