As a Creche Worker within our perinatal creche service, you will provide 1:1 care to infants in a safe and nurturing environment while their parents attend counselling sessions.

At CrossReach, you will be part of a team delivering therapeutic, relationship-based support to infants, children and families across Scotland.

What your day could look like

You will create a safe, secure and stimulating environment for the infants in your care, adapting your approach to meet individual needs. Your role will include:

  • Providing responsive, nurturing 1:1 care to babies during counselling sessions
  • Supporting positive early experiences that promote attachment and emotional development
  • Creating a calm and welcoming creche environment
  • Working closely with parents, offering reassurance and sensitive communication
  • Contributing to a collaborative team focused on high-quality, child-centred practice

About you

You will be caring, observant and confident in working with very young children, with a strong understanding of the importance of early relationships.

You will hold an HNC/SCQF Level 7 in Childcare or be working towards a relevant childcare qualification. You will have experience with babies or young children, or a strong interest in early years development. You will build trust quickly with both infants and parents, communicate sensitively and professionally in a therapeutic setting, and share our commitment to high standards of care and safeguarding.
