Job Description
As a Childrenâs Worker with CrossReach, youâll provide care, comfort and reassurance through the night for children and young people with complex needs. Youâll play a vital part in creating a calm, safe and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.
This is a 20-hour nightshift role, worked across two 10-hour shifts from 9.45pm to 7.45am. The nights you work each week will depend on the needs of the service.
What Your Day Could Involve
* Supporting children and young people throughout the night in a residential setting
* Providing personal care with kindness, dignity and consistency
* Promoting safety, comfort and wellbeing during quiet hours
* Monitoring and recording observations accurately
* Communicating effectively with daytime staff to ensure continuity of care
* Bringing warmth, patience and calm to every shift
About You
You have experience supporting children, young people or individuals with disabilities. Youâre calm under pressure, understanding and adaptable. You follow care plans carefully and record information clearly.
Ideally, youâll hold an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) and an HNC in Social Services, or be committed to working towards these qualifications with our support. What matters most is your compassion, reliability and commitment to making a difference in young lives.
