Job Description

As a Care Worker at Balmedie House, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to people living within the service, supporting them to experience dignity, comfort and meaningful daily routines. You will be part of a supportive team, delivering consistent care that responds to individual needs and promotes independence wherever possible.

Key responsibilities

* Provide personal care and practical support in line with individual care plans
* Support daily routines, activities and social engagement
* Promote dignity, respect and choice at all times
* Observe, record and report changes in wellbeing
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
* Follow safeguarding, health and safety and infection control procedures

About you
You will be a caring and reliable individual with a genuine interest in supporting others. You communicate well, work effectively as part of a team and remain calm and compassionate in a care setting. You will hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards it, and you will be committed to delivering high standards of person-centred care. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with SSSC or willingness to register.

As we do our work in Christ’s name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
