As a Support Worker with CrossReach, you will provide consistent, person centred support to people within a residential or day care setting. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help individuals feel safe, supported and empowered as they work towards stability, independence and positive life changes. This is a varied and meaningful role where your relationship building, professionalism and care make a real difference.

What your role will involve:

  • Providing day to day support and care in line with individual needs and risk assessments
  • Supporting people to settle into the service and understand routines, rights and responsibilities
  • Acting as a key worker and contributing to care and support plans
  • Supporting therapeutic group work and individual development activities
  • Assisting people to access health services, education, training and employment opportunities
  • Encouraging daily living skills, independence and responsibility
  • Supporting recovery journeys, including substance use monitoring where required
  • Administering medication under supervision in line with policies
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to reviews, reports and meetings
  • Supporting positive transitions when people move on from the service
  • Working a rota including nights, which attract an enhancement

About you:

  • You hold a recognised social care qualification at SVQ Level 2 or equivalent and are willing to work towards SVQ Level 3 if not already qualified.
  • You are caring, resilient and able to build professional, respectful relationships with people who may have complex needs.
  • You are comfortable working as part of a team, using basic IT systems, and taking responsibility for your role.
  • Experience in social care or addiction services is desirable but not essential.
  • You must be able to work within and uphold the Christian ethos of CrossReach, be willing to register with the SSSC and join the PVG Scheme.
