Overview

If you know what it means to be patient, encouraging and kind, and you’ve had some experience in care or support, this role could be for you. This role is about building trust, routines and confidence, one day at a time.
What’s the job actually like?
- Main location will be Airdrie, with some work in surrounding areas
- Supporting young adults aged 18+ to live independently
- Some days might involve community activities, appointments or just a walk and a cuppa
- Other days might be about encouragement when things feel tough
- You’ll listen, guide and gently nudge, never push
- No two shifts are the same
- You can choose how many hours you’d like to work each week, between 16 and 30
What helps in this role:
It helps if you have some experience in social care or support, along with respect for people’s choices and different ways of communicating. Patience, kindness and a sense of humour go a long way too. An SVQ Level 3 in Social Care is an advantage, but if you don’t yet have it, a willingness to work towards it is just as valuable.
