As a Senior Care Worker on night shift at Clashfarquhar, you will provide consistent, high-quality care and leadership throughout the night, ensuring people supported feel safe, reassured and well cared for. You will combine hands-on care with responsibility for overseeing night-time routines, supporting staff on shift and maintaining standards when senior daytime colleagues are not present.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care and emotional support in line with individual care plans
- Lead and support the night shift team, acting as the senior point of contact overnight
- Ensure safe administration of medication and adherence to night-time procedures
- Monitor wellbeing, complete observations and respond appropriately to changes or incidents
- Maintain accurate records and provide clear handovers for the day team
- Promote dignity, comfort and reassurance during night-time routines
About you
You will be an experienced care professional who is confident working independently overnight and supporting staff during night shifts. You understand the importance of calm leadership, consistency and reassurance, particularly during night-time hours. You will hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. You will also have the ability to complete PDA supervision, PDA medication, SVQ Level 4 and the workplace assessors’ award, supporting staff development and maintaining high standards across the service. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with SSSC or willingness to register.
