Millmuir Farm House is tucked away on the edge of the village of Gargunnock, near Stirling, offering a safe and nurturing home for two young people. With cosy bedrooms and welcoming spaces, it is a peaceful place where children and young people can settle, grow, and feel supported. Our focus is on building confidence, developing life skills, and preparing young people for their next steps, all within a therapeutic and homely environment.
Join our residential childcare team and play an important role in supporting children and young people to reach their full potential. Working night shifts within a structured and supportive environment, you will help provide high-quality care that promotes safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes.
What you will do
- Deliver high-quality care in line with policies, standards and best practice
- Support children and young people throughout the night, responding to their individual needs and helping to maintain a safe, calm and supportive environment
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Contribute to assessments, care planning and outcome-focused reviews
- Safeguard and advocate for children and young people at all times
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Help ensure important information is shared effectively with the wider team at the end of each shift
About you
You will have a genuine commitment to supporting children and young people and an understanding of the challenges they may face. You will be emotionally resilient, able to work effectively under pressure and confident in building positive professional relationships. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
You will hold, or be willing to work towards, an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People). SSSC registration and PVG Scheme membership are required for this role.
