Looking to step up and make a real difference? At CrossReach, we are looking for an experienced Senior Children’s Worker to help lead our dedicated team, supporting children and young people with disabilities to live full, happy lives.

You will work closely with our team, families, and other professionals to make sure each child feels included, valued, and able to thrive.
What does the role involve?
As a Senior Children’s Worker, you will:
Take a lead role in the day-to-day running of the service
Support and guide your team to provide the highest standard of care
Be a keyworker for identified children, supporting their care plans and goals
Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Plan activities that promote confidence, independence, and fun
Manage medication, finances, and ensure safe working practices
Represent the service at reviews and meetings
Support the personal and professional development of the staff team
Be a positive role model, promoting good practice every day
What do you need to apply?
- Previous experience working with children, ideally supporting those with disabilities or complex needs
- Experience managing or supporting others in a care setting
- An understanding of learning disabilities and challenging behaviour
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, internet use)
- A recognised qualification in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) at HNC and SVQ Level 3

- Registration with the SSSC is essential
