Overview

As a Relief Housekeeping Assistant at CrossReach, you’ll play a key role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. You’ll take pride in keeping bedrooms fresh, communal areas spotless and laundry well organised, helping residents and visitors feel comfortable and cared for. Working as part of a supportive team, you’ll know that your efforts make a real difference every day.

About You

You take real pride in doing a job well. You notice the small details that help others feel at home and bring a positive, can-do attitude to your work. You’re reliable, friendly and happy working both independently and as part of a team. While previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping would be an advantage, it isn’t essential. What matters most is your enthusiasm, willingness to learn and commitment to treating everyone with dignity and respect. You’ll also need to be physically able to carry out the role and comfortable working in a care environment.

As a Christian organisation, you will need to have a respect for all aspects of Christian worship.

You will also need to become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to adhere to the SSSC Code of practice.
