As a Recovery Worker with CrossReach, you’ll support adults as they work towards recovery from substance use. You’ll play a vital role in helping people build confidence, stability and hope for the future. Your work will make a real and lasting difference in people’s lives.
What Your Day Could Involve
- Providing one-to-one and group support to help people achieve their recovery goals
- Developing personalised recovery plans focused on each person’s strengths and aspirations
- Using therapeutic interventions, harm reduction strategies and relapse prevention tools
- Working closely with families, carers and partner agencies to ensure joined‑up care
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the ongoing development of the service
- Offering flexible support, including some evenings and weekends when required
About You
You’re compassionate, resilient and understanding. You bring empathy and patience to your work and believe in people’s capacity to change. You communicate clearly, build trust and treat everyone with respect and dignity.
Experience of supporting people affected by substance use, or working in a similar care setting, is essential. Ideally, you’ll hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or be willing to work towards it with our support. What matters most is your positive attitude, your values and your commitment to supporting recovery.
