Overview

As a Night Care Worker at Beechwood House, you will provide calm, consistent and compassionate support throughout the night for people affected by substance use. Working a 4 on 4 off rota, you will cover wakeful night shifts from 9:45pm to 7:45am, playing a vital role in maintaining safety, dignity and wellbeing while promoting a settled and supportive night-time environment.

Beechwood House offers residential rehabilitation, community outreach and social care to people affected by substance use. The house sits in its own grounds, with a private garden and car park. It is close to local amenities and only a few miles from Inverness city centre.

What your role will involve

  • Providing wakeful night cover and responding appropriately to needs during the night
  • Supporting personal care and wellbeing in line with individual support plans
  • Monitoring physical and emotional wellbeing and escalating concerns when required
  • Maintaining accurate records and night-time reports
  • Supporting a safe, calm and respectful environment
  • Undertaking light domestic duties during night hours
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to handovers

About you

You are dependable, observant and able to remain calm under pressure. You may already have experience in care or be looking to develop a career supporting people affected by substance use. You will have basic IT skills, be willing to meet SSSC and PVG requirements, and hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards it. You will work in a way that is respectful of the Christian values of CrossReach.
