As a Night Care Worker with CrossReach, you will provide comfort, reassurance and attentive care to older people during the night. Your presence will help ensure everyone feels safe, respected and supported, maintaining dignity and continuity of care throughout the quieter hours.

What your role will involve:

  • Providing wakeful night cover as part of a committed and supportive care team
  • Supporting personal care, mobility and comfort needs overnight
  • Responding to incidents or emergencies calmly and appropriately
  • Offering reassurance, conversation and emotional support when needed
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment
  • Liaising with colleagues and health professionals and completing accurate care records

About you:

You are caring, reliable and compassionate, with a strong commitment to treating every person with dignity and respect. Ideally, you will already hold an SVQ Level 3 in Social Care, or be willing to work towards this with support. You will have basic IT skills, be registered with the SSSC and be a member of the PVG Scheme. You are also comfortable working within and upholding the Christian ethos of CrossReach.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
