As a Support Worker with CrossReach, you will provide consistent, person centred support to people within a residential or day care setting. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help individuals feel safe, supported and empowered as they work towards stability, independence and positive life changes. This is a varied and meaningful role where your relationship building, professionalism and care make a real difference.
What your role will involve:
- Providing day to day support and care in line with individual needs and risk assessments
- Supporting people to settle into the service and understand routines, rights and responsibilities
- Acting as a key worker and contributing to care and support plans
- Supporting therapeutic group work and individual development activities
- Assisting people to access health services, education, training and employment opportunities
- Encouraging daily living skills, independence and responsibility
- Supporting recovery journeys, including substance use monitoring where required
- Administering medication under supervision in line with policies
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to reviews, reports and meetings
- Supporting positive transitions when people move on from the service
- Working a rota including nights, which attract an enhancement
About you:
You hold a recognised social care qualification at SVQ Level 2 or equivalent and are willing to work towards SVQ Level 3 if not already qualified. You are caring, resilient and able to build professional, respectful relationships with people who may have complex needs. You are comfortable working as part of a team, using basic IT systems, and taking responsibility for your role. Experience in social care or addiction services is desirable but not essential. You must be able to work within and uphold the Christian ethos of CrossReach, be willing to register with the SSSC and join the PVG Scheme.
