CrossReach’s Bluebell Perinatal Service supports parents and families experiencing perinatal mental health difficulties. Alongside counselling, the service offers a therapeutic crèche, allowing parents and carers to attend sessions while their children are cared for in a calm, safe and nurturing environment. We are looking for volunteer crèche workers to join our supportive team in Glasgow. You will help care for babies and young children up to the age of five while their parent or carer attends counselling, providing reassurance, warmth and positive experiences for children.
What your role will involve:
- Setting up and tidying the crèche space
- Offering a warm welcome to children and parents
- Creating a safe, calm and age appropriate environment
- Supporting play, creativity and child‑led activities
- Caring for young children, including feeding and nappy changing where required
- Following policies including confidentiality, safeguarding and health and safety

About you:
You are caring, patient and compassionate, with an interest in supporting young children and families. You are reliable, emotionally resilient and comfortable working within agreed policies and guidance. Childcare experience is helpful but not essential, as training and support will be provided.
