We are looking for experienced cooks to join us on a relief basis at our care home in Nairn, this means you can work flexibly around your other commitments which still doing what you love at work.
At CrossReach, we know food is at the heart of care. As our Cook, you won’t just prepare meals — you’ll create moments of connection and joy. You’ll help turn a simple meal into a comforting experience that makes people feel valued and cared for.
Your day could include:
️ Planning menus that reflect individual tastes and dietary needs
Using fresh, quality ingredients to prepare nutritious and delicious meals
Managing stock, ordering supplies and ensuring everything is fresh and safe
Leading the kitchen team, keeping the atmosphere calm and welcoming
Inviting residents to get involved in food activities, turning mealtimes into something special
What you’ll bring:
A Food Handling Certificate and catering experience
Organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail
A genuine passion for using food to nurture and comfort
Knowledge of food hygiene and Health & Safety
Basic computer skills
PVG Scheme membership or willingness to join

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
