We are currently seeking caring, enthusiastic, and resilient Children’s Workers to join our dedicated team supporting children and young people with disabilities. Working in one of our specialist services, you’ll play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children with a range of additional support needs, including physical, learning, and complex disabilities.

In this rewarding role, you will provide person-centred care tailored to each child’s individual needs. This includes supporting with personal care, communication, emotional wellbeing, and daily activities that promote independence and self-esteem. You’ll be working closely with families, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child. Creativity, warmth, and a sense of fun are essential, as you’ll be helping to build confidence and create meaningful experiences in each child’s life.

We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for working with children with disabilities. While experience in a similar role is desirable, it’s not essential—what matters most is your empathy, patience, and willingness to learn. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. An SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) is ideal, but if you don’t have it yet, we’ll support you to achieve it.

As we do our work in Christ’s name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
