Senior Strategy Manager
A Senior Strategy Manager leads the development of integrated communications strategies within a media agency, turning complex business challenges into clear, actionable plans.
Working across a major fashion retailer and a global aeronautics client, this role balances cultural relevance with commercial impact, shaping strategies that drive both brand and business growth.
Partnering closely with planning, investment, analytics, activation, and creative teams, the Senior Strategy Manager develops audience‑first communications strategies that connect insight, media, and data to deliver measurable business outcomes.
The role is hybrid, with three days onsite each week and two days of remote work flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Storytelling
- Lead end‑to‑end strategy development, from insight to activation
- Translate business challenges into clear communications tasks and channel roles
- Craft compelling narratives that align creative, media, and data
- Present confidently to clients and internal stakeholders
- Build simple, scalable frameworks that elevate strategic output on both a local and global level
- Client Leadership & Integration
- Act as day‑to‑day strategic lead for key client workstreams
- Build trusted relationships with mid‑to‑senior client stakeholders
- Lead integrated discussions across creative, media, and activation teams
- Run workshops, planning sessions, and project meetings independently
- Act as a strategic sparring partner to creative and other teams, ensuring ideas are rooted in audience insight, media behaviour and measurable communications effect
- Insight & Planning
- Identify and apply shifts across culture, consumer behaviour, category, and brand
- Turn insights into clear opportunities and actionable strategies
- Shape full‑funnel, connected ecosystem plans with defined roles for each channel
- Ensure a clear link from insight through to execution in all outputs
- Define clear measurement frameworks, learning agendas and effectiveness principles that connect strategy to business outcomes, media KPIs and post‑campaign optimisation
- Growth & Agency Contribution
- Play a key role in new business pitches and strategic responses
- Mentor junior team members and elevate team output
- Contribute to thought leadership and case studies
- Bring fresh, distinctive thinking that pushes the agency forward
- Identify emerging media, technology and cultural opportunities, including AI, creator, commerce and partnership‑led solutions, and translate them into practical client recommendations
Requirements
- 4–7 years’ experience in media, communications, or advertising strategy
- Strong strategic thinking and commercial understanding
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills
- Confidence leading projects and client conversations independently
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to inspire cross‑functional teams
- Curiosity, resilience, and a drive to continuously improving
