Prime Student Living has managed 30 assets with over 7000 beds in 22 cities and our onsite operational teams are pivotal in providing students with the world class service we are committed to delivering.
We are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Operative at our site in Coventry. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hour per week.
What will your day to day responsibilities include
- Dealing with day to day maintenance issues – this will range from fixing broken doors, changing light fittings, to moving furniture, basic plumbing tasks and painting.
- Carrying out scheduled safety checks, including fire alarm testing, checking water temperatures and emergency lighting tests.
- Liaising with specialist contractors on site who will carry out maintenance to the building under warranty.
- Maintaining the presentation of the external grounds to the building and keeping them in excellent condition.
What skills will you have?
- To be successful in this role it is anticipated that the ideal candidate will;
- Have a passion customer and ability to deliver a first-class customer experience.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering a range of maintenance activities in a live building; such as residential apartments, office buildings, hotel, or student accommodation.
- The ability to communicate positively and clearly with onsite colleagues and customers.
- The ability to keep and maintain maintenance records.
I t would be beneficial if you had.
- ISOH managing safely
- Experience in PAT Testing
- Hold a building related qualification in either, carpentry, plumbing, painting or basic electrical work.
Package
In return this role attracts a competitive basic salary of up to £19,000 per annum, 25 days holiday, matching 4% pension and life insurance four times salary.
