Overview Village Church East Belfast (Village East) is an independent, evangelical church based in East Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Started as a church plant in 2011, Village East has grown to nearly 100 members and 70+ children.
With regular attenders and visitors, our Sunday gatherings regularly have about 130-150 people.
In 2018, we planted Village Church South Belfast, now a wholly independent church with whom we continue to work closely towards our shared mission of being a gospel shaped community of people who love Jesus, each other, and our city of Belfast as we join God in the renewal of all things.
Village East seeks a Lead / Senior Pastor.
He will serve as the primary staff leader of Village East and function as “first among equals” within the eldership, helping lead the church in faithfully obeying God’s leading as revealed in Scripture.
He will provide leadership in vision, staff oversight, preaching, organisational health, and the overall spiritual direction of the church in partnership with the Elders, to whom he will be accountable.
Responsibilities Serve as the primary staff leader of Village East and act as first among equals within the eldership.

Oversee staff, including line management and development, and shape the staff team and structure as the church grows.
Lead and develop the teaching ministry in collaboration with the elders and preach regularly.
Ensure alignment with Village East’s beliefs and values, including the Distinctives of the Acts 29 Network of which the church is a member.
Qualifications / Experience Experience leading a church staff and building healthy team dynamics.
Ability to preach regularly and contribute to the teaching ministry.
