Job Details
- Position: Telephone Operator
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Compensation: $40–$70/hour
- Location: Remote
- Duration: Approximately 3–4 weeks
- Commitment: Minimum 15 hours/week, fully asynchronous and flexible scheduling
Role Responsibilities
- Use your professional experience to design questions and training content for AI models in the telecommunications domain
- Evaluate AI-generated responses related to call handling, switchboard operations, emergency protocols, and customer assistance
- Provide detailed feedback on accuracy, clarity, and relevance of AI outputs
- Help train AI systems on tasks such as directory updates, relay services for the deaf and hard of hearing, toll charge recording, and special billing assistance
- Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to improve AI understanding of real-world telecom workflows
Ideal Qualifications
- Strong experience as a Telephone Operator, including hands-on work with switchboards, signal lights, call routing, and emergency assistance
- Experience in roles such as 411 Directory Assistance Operator, PBX Operator, Toll Operator, or similar
- Strong writing skills and comfort using computer applications and digital platforms
- Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks not supported)
