Position: Technical Writer (Hourly Contract)
Compensation: $45/hour
Location: Remote
Duration: ~2 weeks (with potential extensions)
Commitment: Minimum of 20 hours per week
Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)
- Review provided documents and select suitable content for prompt–answer generation
- Write clear, accurate, and well-structured responses aligned with project guidelines
- Use Markdown (LaTeX preferred for technical content) for formatting
- Ensure originality, clarity, and consistency in all writing
- Work asynchronously and independently, with flexible hours
- Collaborate with Crossing Hurdles’ support team for feedback and clarifications
Requirements
- Strong writing and summarization skills across disciplines
- Familiarity with Markdown (required) and LaTeX (preferred)
- Ability to distill complex ideas into clear, instructional text
- Prior experience in prompt writing, curriculum design, or editing is a plus
- Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks are not supported)
