We are looking for experienced retail investigators and loss prevention professionals to support the development of AI models for real‑world theft detection, fraud prevention, and asset protection systems.
Position: Private Detectives and Investigators – Retail Trade
Type: Hourly Contract
Compensation: $40–$55/hour
Location: Remote
Duration: Approximately 6 weeks
Commitment: Part‑time, 10‑40 hours/week, fully remote and asynchronous
Key Responsibilities
- Write detailed tasks and scenarios replicating real‑world retail loss prevention and investigative work based on professional experience
- Create realistic cases involving surveillance, shoplifting detection, internal theft investigations, and evidence management
- Develop scenarios for suspect apprehension, interview and interrogation documentation, coordination with law enforcement, and incident reporting
- Review and analyze AI‑generated outputs related to retail investigations for accuracy, professionalism, and compliance with ethical standards
- Provide data‑driven feedback to refine AI model reasoning on security, loss prevention, and investigative protocols
Ideal Qualifications
- Strong professional experience as a private detective, investigator, or loss prevention specialist in retail or corporate asset protection
- Demonstrated investigative leadership, report writing, and evidence handling abilities
- Proficient in the use of surveillance systems, video analytics, and case management software
- Strong communication, discretion, and analytical skills
- Successful completion of video interview, background check, training, and qualification quiz
