Role Responsibilities
- Write original, advanced Olympiad-style astronomy problems designed to challenge frontier AI models.
- Evaluate AI-generated astronomy solutions for correctness, clarity, and reasoning quality.
- Identify logical gaps, incorrect assumptions, or insufficiently rigorous derivations in model outputs.
- Provide clear, precise, and fully worked solutions with correct reasoning and formatting in LaTeX.
- Maintain extremely high standards of scientific rigor, accuracy, and problem difficulty.
Requirements
- Strong experience in astronomy or astrophysics supported by a PhD, Master's degree, or Olympiad-level background.
- Prior participation in the International Astronomy Olympiad (IAO) or equivalent competitions is a strong plus.
- Deep understanding of theoretical and observational astronomy concepts.
- High proficiency in writing and formatting mathematical and scientific content using LaTeX.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to verify complex solutions rigorously.
- Strong written communication skills and comfort working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
