Overview

Arabic Language Expert (Contract, Remote) — 10-40 hours/week. Responsible for recording and evaluating Arabic speech data to support AI speech models.

Responsibilities

• Record clear, high-quality audio clips in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) to support the development of AI speech models.
• Assess and annotate phonetic, pronunciation, and intonation data with linguistic accuracy.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on speech recognition outputs, identifying patterns and inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with the customer\'s team to enhance data collection processes and standards.
• Document recording activities accurately and maintain organized data sets.
• Participate in discussions to improve AI workflows by sharing practical insights from the field.

Requirements

• Have native-level proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a solid understanding of phonetics, phonology, and pronunciation nuances in Arabic.
• Experience in audio recording, voice acting, podcasting, or audio engineering is a plus but not mandatory.
• Be comfortable using recording devices and audio software to produce clear speech samples.
• Demonstrate high attention to detail when listening, annotating, and evaluating speech data.
