Cross Works is seeking senior architects and senior urban designers to join its growing team in London. We are a friendly, enthusiastic and highly motivated collective, looking to grow sustainably to meet an increased demand across a number of sectors. The new recruits will work on large-scale international masterplanning schemes / megaprojects, and assist on architectural projects at a variety of scales and typologies, amongst other types of creative work.
The following knowledge and capabilities will be required in order to be shortlisted for an interview:
- Qualified senior architect/urban designer with at least seven years of professional experience (i.e. in practice)
- Excellent design skills with demonstrable experience on projects at multiple scales; experience on larger scale buildings, urban quarters and masterplans will be required for this role
- Ability to lead a whole project, and delegate tasks to junior team members
- Ability and flexibility to work across multiple projects if/when required
- Excellent command of Rhino is absolutely essential; whilst Revit knowledge is useful (but not essential)
- Please note, that AutoCAD / Sketchup / Microstation / Vectorworks / ArchiCAD are not relevant for this role
- Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite / MS Office is expected as standard
- Parametric design skills are a bonus, whilst knowledge of GIS is beneficial; these are not essential however
- Friendly and conscientious, with strong communication skills
- A passion for teamwork and collaboration
Competitive salary, dependent on experience and capabilities. This position will require working in an office environment in Camden, London (5 days per week). Remote/hybrid-working is not negotiable for this role. Eligibility to work in the UK is essential for this position.
