Overview
Stoke-on-Trent / On-the-Road across the UK & Europe
Are you a Refrigeration Engineer eager to swap the standard 9-to-5 for a life on the road, powering the coolest (literally) events around? If you've got your F-Gas certification and NVQ Level 2/3 under your belt, this is your chance for backstage access at iconic sporting, motor racing, golf, tennis, massive festivals, and buzzing expos. Picture keeping things chilled (pun intended) while soaking up the atmosphere of world-famous events – all while getting paid to travel!
We're upfront about the role: This isn't your typical office job. During peak season (June–September), you'll be travelling extensively to sites across the UK, Europe, and occasionally worldwide. You'll stay on-site for the full duration of each event, which could mean weeks away at a time, then heading straight to the next one. It's demanding, but if you love exploring new places, meeting great people, and the excitement of live events, you'll thrive. In the off-season (October–May), you'll be based in Stoke-on-Trent, maintaining our equipment for the next busy period.

We supply festivals, sporting events, and corporate functions with high-quality refrigeration and HVAC systems. Our ethos? We're innovative, team-focused, and committed to delivering outstanding service that keeps clients returning.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Commissioning: Set up, commission, and de-install advanced chillers and refrigeration systems at major events.
- Maintenance: During quieter periods in Stoke-on-Trent, service and prepare our rental fleet to ensure it's ready for hire.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues quickly to maintain optimal performance and safety.
- Collaboration: Work with clients and colleagues, following safety standards (including RAMS), and keep accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections.
Travel Benefits: We provide hotel accommodation, daily meal allowances, and enhanced overtime rates for out-of-hours, weekend, and bank holiday work.
What We're Looking For
- F-Gas certification
- IPAF and CSCS Card
- Experience in servicing chillers and installing split systems
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Commitment to health and safety regulations (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001, ISO 14001:2015)
- Electrical knowledge (18th Edition)
- Boiler knowledge
What We Offer
- Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary with enhanced overtime rates for evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Daily subsistence allowance for meals during overnight stays at events.
- Working Hours: Standard hours 08:00–17:00, with flexibility required for travel and events.
- Pension & Perks: 5% employee contribution matched by 3% from us; free parking; corporate eyecare scheme; discretionary group life assurance; and optional private medical insurance after probation.
