We are looking for a skilled and motivated Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves the service, maintenance, and repair of industrial refrigeration systems across a range of client sites. You’ll be working on a variety of systems mainly using HFC refrigerants, ensuring that the equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. This is a full‑time role for a chiller / refrigeration engineer at cross‑group working within the UK. The engineer will be responsible for providing preventative and reactive service and maintenance in commercial and industrial refrigeration, fruit ripening and industrial temperature control.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in Service, Maintenance of Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration plants.
- Level 3 NVQ Certificate in installing and commissioning refrigeration OR Level 3 NVQ Diploma in servicing and maintaining refrigeration.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills.
- Competence in carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Good working knowledge of refrigeration controls and electrical systems.
- Safe handling of refrigerants and adherence to F‑Gas regulations.
- Strong understanding of health & safety practices within industrial environments.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Experience working within food production, cold storage and distribution environments.
- Experience working with remote monitoring systems and BMS controls.
