The Role
As an Inclusion Support Worker, you will
- Buildpositive, trusting relationships with children who require additional SEMHsupport.
- Delivertargeted interventions and personalised support to help pupils developemotional resilience, self-regulation and positive behaviour.
- Workalongside class teachers to remove barriers to learning and promoteinclusion within the classroom.
- Supportpupils during challenging moments using restorative and trauma-informedapproaches.
- Contributeto the planning, implementation and review of individual support plans.
- Workin partnership with parents, carers and external agencies to ensure thebest outcomes for children.
- Helpcreate a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where everychild feels valued and supported.
We are lookingfor someone who
- Hasexperience of working with children, ideally within a primary school orsimilar setting.
- Hasa good understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needsand the impact these can have on learning and behaviour.
- Iscalm, patient and empathetic, with excellent communication andrelationship-building skills.
- Canremain positive and solution-focused when supporting children throughchallenging situations.
- Iscommitted to inclusive practice and believes every child can succeed withthe right support.
- Workseffectively as part of a collaborative team whilst using their owninitiative when required.
