Straightpoint (UK) Ltd is a world leader in the design and manufacture of a huge range of force measurement, load monitoring and suspended weighing load cells up to 1,000 tonnes capacity. For over thirty years, Straightpoint has manufactured loadcell load links, crane scales, load cells, load shackles and radio links. Suppliers of loadcells and crane weighers to lifting and weighing companies across the globe.
We are currently searching for an experienced (part time - 18 hours / week) HR Generalist!
Responsibilities
- Employee Relations & Support
- Act as a first point of contact for day‑to‑day HR queries for all stakeholders, providing accurate and timely advice.
- Support managers with ER cases including informal performance concerns, attendance support, and wellbeing conversations.
- Coordinate and support formal ER processes (investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, PIP).
- Escalate complex matters to the HR Manager as appropriate.
- Payroll and Pensions
- Process the payroll and pension submissions for the Financial Controller.
- Liaise with pension and payroll providers.
- First point of contact for healthcare/ EAP provider.
- First point of contact for time recording holiday booking system provider.
- Contribute to salary benchmarking, pay review processes, and benefits awareness campaigns.
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Support recruitment activities, including assisting drafting job adverts, shortlisting and interviewing.
- Coordinate onboarding processes to ensure new starters have a positive induction experience.
- HR Data, Systems & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records and assist with HR reporting and metrics.
- Ensure all documentation, policies and processes comply with UK employment law and internal standards.
- Assist with monthly HR reports including absence data, probation updates, training completions, and recruitment progress.
- Learning, Development & Culture
- First point of contact to the Apprenticeship providers.
- Support delivery of training initiatives and organisational development projects.
- Contribute to engagement and wellbeing activities.
- Assist with performance review cycle administration and follow‑up actions.
- Play a proactive role in promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Policy & Process Support
- Review, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance to managers on HR processes and ensure consistent application across the business.
- Contribution to Global/UK HR Strategy
- Support implementation of global HR programmes, policies, and systems.
- Participate in multi-site or cross-functional HR projects as required.
