Our global customers cover Formula 1, motorsport but primarily automotive, making components and bodywork for some of the most prestigious hyper cars in the world. Joining our apprenticeship scheme will give you a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and experience within our manufacturing team. We are committed to ensuring your professional success and our scheme will give you the opportunity to develop new workplace skills. As an apprentice, you will fully commit to the 20% off-the-job training requirements of the role, alongside your normal day-to-day job. This is managed through the tutor providing fortnightly in-person theory training. You will have the opportunity to be part of a high performing team and to develop the behaviours, knowledge and professional skills to be a part of that team. As part of the apprenticeship programme, you will commit to this professional development plan at the start.

Inspection Apprenticeship - Job Description:

Learning how to apply the customer standard to the manufactured product with the various measurement tools available within the business and support the development of the Inspection process to help the team to make the right decisions. This role is part of an apprenticeship scheme which will lead to a qualification or company standard approval process. You will learn to work to strict safety and quality requirements, help to achieve daily requirements in terms of quality and understand what the Customer expectation is.

Key Responsibilities (what you will learn):

  • Link between Production and Inspection departments
  • Maintain the Quality standards to achieve our customer expectations
  • Effective team player and communicator
  • Good verbal communication and listening skills
  • Measure all the parts manufactured to drawings
  • Ensure that all parts are inspected in line with the customer; carbon fibre and/or lacquer/paint standards both mid-process and prior to dispatch
  • Communicate all non-conformances to appropriate personnel
  • Record all non-conformances on internal quality management database
  • Ensure that the inspection department is compliant with the quality management system and company procedures
  • High proportion of inspection will be focusing on the cosmetic appearance of the panels
  • Ensure all measuring equipment is kept in good working order and calibrated accordingly
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
