Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Factory Admin role based in Port Talbot. The Factory Admin will coordinate day-to-day administrative operations, including maintaining production records, updating databases, and managing documentation related to inventory, orders, and logistics. The role involves supporting factory leadership with scheduling, meeting coordination, and preparation of reports and basic financial summaries. The Factory Admin will respond to internal and external inquiries, assist with visitor and contractor check-in, and help ensure health, safety, and compliance procedures are documented and followed. The role also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as production, warehouse, and finance, to keep information accurate, workflows organized, and communication clear across the site.

Qualifications

  • Strong administrative skills, including Administrative Assistance experience, document management, and efficient use of office software and factory management systems.
  • Effective Communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to interact professionally with colleagues, suppliers, and visitors.
  • Solid Analytical Skills to review data, reconcile records, track production or inventory figures, and support basic reporting and problem-solving.
  • Customer Service experience for handling inquiries, coordinating with partners and service providers, and representing the site professionally.
  • Foundational Finance understanding, such as processing invoices, tracking expenses, and assisting with budget or cost reports.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced factory environment.
  • Comfort working on-site in an industrial or manufacturing setting and adhering to health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Previous experience in a factory, manufacturing, or logistics environment is beneficial; familiarity with ERP or inventory systems is an advantage.
  • Relevant vocational qualification in administration, business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience or willing to go to apprenticeship scheme for around six months period.
  • Must be located locally in Port Talbot, Swansea and Cardiff or willing to relocate.
