A Leading National Disability Charity is hiring passionate Support Care Workers to join our team in Uckfield, East Sussex TN22. In this vital role, you will make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will support a diverse group of people with unique abilities and needs.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting with essential daily activities.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleep-ins, and holidays.
  • Providing crucial emotional support.

Contracts & Structured Schedule

We offer flexibility with structured scheduling for a great work-life balance:

  • Full-Time Contracts: Available at 37.5 or 20 hrs + hours a week.
  • Mandatory Availability: All applicants must be able to work on a rota system (FT or PT) over 7 days a week.
  • Shift Details: All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
  • Days: shift patterns between the hours of 07:00-22:00 (9-3, or 3-10, etc., flexibility)
  • Occasional Sleep-ins, if required: 22:00 – 07:00. There is also a sleep-in enhanced flat rate payment of £64.20.

What We Look For In You

While we provide comprehensive training, we are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with:

  • Experience: Previous experience in care settings, mental health, or working with individuals with challenging behaviours is highly valued.
  • Qualifications: An NVQ, Care Certificate, or other healthcare qualifications are desirable but not essential.
  • Happy with performing personal care when required.
