Are you a qualified Chef looking to work with fresh seasonal food, with the opportunity to have more of a work-life balance and make what you do matter?
Working as a Second Chef with our award winning client, you will have the chance to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks
What you’ll do
- Assist the Head Chef with menu creation
- Manage the kitchen in their absence
- Work withfresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes cooked at the highest quality and standards
- Create a warm, efficient and positive environment
- Work within budget
- Complete regular audits
- Manage stock control
Essential Criteria
- Qualified Chef (City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent)
- Good understanding of HACCP
- Experienced with fresh, seasonal food
- Able to cater for large numbers and different dietary requirements
- Passionate about cooking and resident wellbeing
Desirable Criteria
- Catering experience within a care home environment
