Are you a hands-on Engineer with the technical expertise to bridge the gap between the workshop and the supply chain? We are seeking a Production Engineering Supervisor to take ownership of our assembly, inspection, and technical procurement processes. Reporting to the Production Director, you will ensure our high-quality standards are met while coordinating closely with machine shops and subcontractors.
The Role
- Precision Assembly: Lead the build, test, and servicing of complex mechanical products.
- Technical Procurement: Manage relationships with machine shops/fabricators to source parts and ensure on-time delivery.
- Quality Control: Inspect subcontracted parts and handle goods-in to maintain ISO-level excellence.
- Expert Training: Train staff and customers on specialized machinery and safety protocols.
- Fault Diagnosis: Strip down, repair, and reverse-engineer components as required.
What You’ll Need
- Engineering Pedigree: An apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on mechanical experience.
- Manufacturing IQ: Strong knowledge of milling, turning, fabrication, and technical drawings.
- Supply Chain Confidence: Experience working with external subcontractors and suppliers.
- Leadership Traits: A proactive approach to mentoring and process improvement.
- Essentials: A clean driving licence and solid IT skills. (SolidWorks or Forklift experience is a plus!)
