Location: Accrington, Lancashire

Salary: £12.60 per hour + £50 per night sleep-in

The role:

  • You will provide support to people with a learning disability.
  • This role enables the people we support to have choices in the way that they live, work, and develop skills.
  • Support adults with learning disabilities in a supported living setting.
  • Provide 1:1 and 2:1 support, promoting independence, choice, and inclusion.
  • Assist with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and daily living tasks in line with each person’s care plan.
  • Enable people to access their community, attend appointments, and enjoy social and leisure activities.
  • Work as part of a consistent, supportive team that values kindness, respect, and empowerment.

About you:

  • Experience working with people with learning disabilities or in a similar care setting.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence essential – you will be required to drive mobility vehicles.
  • A compassionate and person-centred approach to care.
  • Ability to work flexibly across long shifts, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • Commitment to promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.

Support is provided on a rota basis to meet the needs of the people we support:

  • 08:00 – 23:00 (1:1 support) with overnight sleep.
  • Alternate weekend working is essential and operates on a Week 1 and Week 2 rotation.
  • 4 adults with varied support needs.
  • Weekday shifts may include: 08:00 – 15:00, 14:00 – 22:00, 16:00 – 22:00.
  • Weekends: long shifts 08:00 – 22:00.

All posts are subject to DBS checks. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; you must declare all convictions or cautions, including those that would otherwise be spent.
