Emergency Lighting / EML Engineer

Location: Camden, Greater London

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Market leading PAYE salary (Circa 38k+), with weekly pay, overtime opportunities.

About the Role

As an Emergency Lighting Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing lighting systems across communal, emergency, and external environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and repair emergency lighting systems
  • Remedial works across communal and external lighting
  • Compile and maintain a register of EML assets on site
  • Complete job reports and certification with accuracy
  • Keep clear records of all completed works
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Communicate effectively with your manager and admin support

Requirements

  • Proven experience in EML testing and repairs, ideally in public sector settings
  • UK driving licence (required)
  • City & Guilds Level 2 or 3, or equivalent (preferred, not essential)
  • Clear, professional communication skills and a proactive approach

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 – 1-hour lunch break. Weekend and evening work available at enhanced rates.
