Lead by Example. Inspire Great Support. Make a Real Difference.

We are looking for two Practice Leaders to join our Worcester team, working across a cluster of three multi-occupancy services located in WR3, WR4 and WR9. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker looking to take the next step in their career, or for an existing leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred support.

The people we support have a range of needs including learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and mental health diagnoses. They lead active, social and fulfilling lives, and we are looking for leaders who can help ensure they continue to have choice, control and opportunities to achieve their goals.

About the Role

As a Practice Leader, you will lead by example, promoting best practice and supporting colleagues to deliver high-quality, person-centred support. Working directly alongside the people we support, you will mentor and coach Support Workers, helping them develop their skills and confidence while ensuring excellent outcomes for individuals.

You will work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and internal management teams, ensuring support is delivered safely, effectively and in line with individual needs and aspirations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing hands-on support and leading by example in daily practice.
  • Supporting individuals to lead fulfilling lives with maximum independence, choice and control.
  • Mentoring and developing Support Workers to deliver outstanding person-centred support.
  • Championing positive behaviour support and promoting emotional, psychological and social wellbeing.
  • Liaising with families, advocates and external professionals.
  • Reviewing care documentation and ensuring records are completed accurately and to a high standard.
  • Feeding back to the Deputy Manager and Support Manager on service performance and development needs.
  • Supporting individuals with personal care, finances, meal preparation, household tasks and accessing the community when required.
  • Promoting safeguarding, health and safety and positive risk management.
  • Participating in the on-call rota and supporting services across the Worcester cluster.

The role combines direct support with dedicated administrative time, allowing you to focus on quality, development and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone passionate about empowering people and developing others.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or complex needs.
  • You will support individual emotional, psychological and social wellbeing needs in line with Positive Behaviour Support guidance
  • An understanding of acquired brain injury, mental health and positive behaviour support.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, care regulations and best practice.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Confidence using digital systems, including care planning systems and Microsoft Office.
  • The flexibility to work a variety of shifts and support across multiple locations.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to transport.
