Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours/week (Mon–Fri, 9 am–5 pm standard, with minimal weekend cover as needed)

We are seeking an ambitious and compassionate Service Manager to lead two vibrant residential services in Bury St. Edmunds, supporting people with a learning disability to live independent, fulfilling lives.
Supported directly by a 30-hour Assistant Manager and co-located with a collaborative team of fellow Service Managers, you’ll have the resources, structure, and backing you need to excel.

The Role
As the Service Manager, you will shape and deliver high-quality, person-centred support
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a dedicated support team to cultivate a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
- CQC Compliance & Excellence: Maintain full CQC compliance, drive continuous quality improvement, and champion safety and standards.
- Operational Management: Oversee service budgets, staff rotas, and daily operations.
- Partnership Building: Develop strong, trusting relationships with families, local commissioners, health professionals, and partner agencies.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven Leadership: Experience managing or supervising teams within health and social care (learning disability experience strongly preferred).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Sound working knowledge of CQC fundamental standards, safeguarding, and person-centred care practices.
- Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or a commitment to achieve it with our full support).
- Values-Led Mindset: Exceptional communication skills, practical problem-solving ability, and a genuine passion for advocating for the rights of people with learning disabilities.
