About the Role
As a Unit Nurse Manager (General), you will use your compassion and initiative to ensure our residents receive the highest quality of person-centred care. You will have the freedom and autonomy to lead your unit, managing everything from clinical care plans to team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Plan, manage, and monitor the delivery of tailored, person-centred care plans and detailed risk assessments.
- Team Management: Oversee staff rotas, recruit new talent, and train and mentor your nursing team.
- Compliance & Partnerships: Build strong, professional relationships with local regulators and social services.
- Professional Development: Take ownership of your unit's growth while accessing excellent opportunities for your own career progression.

Requirements:
- Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current, valid NMC registration.
- Clinical Expertise: Up-to-date knowledge of recent clinical practices and regulatory frameworks (including DoLS/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines).
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience acting as a clinical mentor, including supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship.
- Skills: Strong background in producing well-developed care plans and risk assessments.
- Flexibility: Ability to accommodate both day and night shifts when required.
