Female Support Worker - Buckfastleigh & Newton Abbot, South Devon

Salary: £13.12 per hour; Contract: Full-Time (30 hours per week) & Part-Time options available

Please Note: Due to the specific needs of the individuals we support, this role is open to female applicants only. We are seeking passionate Female Support Workers to join our teams across Buckfastleigh and Newton Abbot. To ensure continuity of care, you must be able and willing to work across both of these South Devon locations.

In this rewarding role, you will support a diverse group of individuals with learning disabilities, helping them live fulfilling, independent lives. No two days are the same; you could be helping someone manage their home or accompanying them on a holiday!

All of our services require a high standard of dedicated care.

Care Needs: Providing comprehensive personal care, following strict SALT (Speech and Language Therapy) plans, and delivering specialised eating and drinking support.

Behavioral Support: Community Outings: Driving individuals to appointments, the gym, horse riding, or day trips using local mobility cars.

Shift Patterns & Flexibility: Our services provide 24-hour care. To give you a great work-life balance, rotas are published at least 4 weeks in advance. You will need to be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including working every other weekend. Examples of our shift patterns in South Devon include:

  • Short Days / Mid-Shifts: 10:00 - 14:00 or 10:00 - 15:00
  • Sleep-In Shifts: 10:00 to 22:00, followed by a sleep-in, and finishing the next morning from 07:00 to 10:00 (Sleep-ins are paid at an enhanced flat rate of £64.20).

A Full UK Driving Licence (Essential) comfortable driving mobility cars in the local area.

Resilience and confidence when handling high-level challenging behaviours.

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
