As an Electronic Engineer, you will have a massive influence on our global center of excellence. Working alongside Senior Electronics, Firmware, and App Engineers, you will touch every stage of the design lifecycle, with exciting opportunities to collaborate with international teams across the USA and Asia.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):
- Full Lifecycle Design: Take smart product concepts from early-stage prototyping all the way through to mass production and continuous optimization.
- PCB & Schematic Capture: Design schematics, develop PCB layouts, and manage component libraries to build robust hardware.
- Testing & Fault-Finding: Map out test procedures and use general lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies) to diagnose issues, find faults, and verify system performance.
- Innovation & Research: Explore emerging smart technologies to keep our next-generation connected products ahead of the market curve.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain structured engineering documentation and parts management using modern PLM systems (3DX).
What We Are Looking For:
Essential (Must-Haves):
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of proven experience in a practical electronics Design or development role.
- PCB Design: Direct experience with schematic design and PCB layouts, preferably using Altium Designer.
- Education: Degree-level qualification (2:1 or above) in Electronic Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience in hardware and electro-mechanical design tailored for small-to-medium volume manufacturing.
- Lab Skills: Confident using standard laboratory equipment for testing and debugging, alongside a solid understanding of EMC compliance.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills, highly methodical nature, and excellent written and verbal communication.
Desirable (Nice-to-Haves):
- Embedded programming experience (ideally working with STM or ESP microcontrollers).
- Strong bench skills, including the ability to hand-solder or fabricate prototype assemblies.
- A baseline understanding of stepper motor control and high-voltage PWM motor control.
