We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work alongside teachers in delivering high-quality education to pupils with a range of learning and behavioural needs. LSAs are vital in supporting classroom learning, promoting positive behaviour, and helping pupils access a broad and balanced curriculum. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support pupils in small groups and 1:1 to help them engage and succeed in lessons
- Assist teachers across a range of subjects and classroom activities
- Prepare engaging resources and displays to enhance learning
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and self-esteem
- Supervise and support pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and transitions
- Maintain a purposeful, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment
- Attend training and staff meetings to share ideas and develop your skills
Essential & Desirable Qualifications
Essential: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C / 4 or above), Basic IT skills and confidence with digital tools, High expectations of pupil behaviour and achievement, Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable: Experience in education, care, or support work, Qualifications in Childcare, Education, or Social Care, Experience supporting pupils with Autism or SEMH.
