This role focuses on managing latent defects claims and advising on complex construction contracts. Key Responsibilities
- Lead on managing latent defects claims, including case research, document review, and legal correspondence.
- Advise on construction contracts covering areas such as payments, delays, procurement, warranties, and insurance.
- Draft, review, and amend a variety of contracts including NEC and JCT forms.
- Guide adjudication, arbitration, and Technology & Construction Court proceedings.
- Maintain legal precedents and provide procurement-related legal support.
- Deliver internal legal training related to construction practices.
- Support high-value dispute resolution processes pre-litigation.
- Collaborate with surveyors and project managers to ensure evidence is recorded and stored correctly.
- Manage legal and financial administration related to the role, including purchase orders and invoices.
