Crone Corkill are assisting a financial client as they look to bring in a personable 2nd/3rd Line focused Senior IT Support Analyst to the team on an initial 6 month fixed term contract, with potential to be extended/made permanent thereafter. The business is currently in the process of implementing a complex financial platform, so need another resource to assist with BAU and less complex projects. Due to this ongoing project, you’ll be joining the team at a very busy time and will take responsibility for designing, troubleshooting and maintaining their Windows based infrastructure, VMware estate and promoting best practice aligned with ITSM frameworks in collaboration with other members of the IT team. This is an office based role with an expectation to be in their City based office 5 days per week. If you do not have relevant experience working within the financial/banking industry, you’re unlikely to be considered.
What will you do as a Senior IT Support Analyst?
- Act as an escalation point for 1st Line and resolve 2nd & 3rd Line issues
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot Windows Server services including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services
- Ensure all users can access the environment and all applications and services are available, up and running
- PC Desktop, Laptop and Windows Server Configuration, SCCM, Mobile Device Management, MS Application Support and O365 Administration & Support
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure products are installed, configured and integrated to meet user needs
- Ensure IT Security policies are abided by, security is monitored and alerts/incidents are responded to
- Automate administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell scripting
- Onboard/offboard users, complete internal user moves, allow access rights and ensure the correct licenses are issued
What skills do you need to be a Senior IT Support Analyst?
- Experience providing 2nd/3rd Line Support in the financial/banking industry
- Relevant industry certifications (desirable, not essential)
- Expertise across the Microsoft stack (Microsoft 365, MDM, OS, protocols etc)
- VMware (Horizon ideal)
- Deep understanding of Active Directory, Entra, GPO, DNS, DHCP
- PowerShell scripting
- Knowledge of Cyber Security tooling and best practice
- Assisting with InfoSec policy adherence and incident response
- Software troubleshooting
