A nurturing supportive environment, working for a niche boutique law firm with 7 talented fee earners, and a team of other PA / paralegal/ marketing / operations support staff. Stunning offices in a Central Prime location, social events, 25 days holiday and the opportunity to undertake the SQE route should deliverables within the position constitute qualitative work of the level required.
Key Duties:
- Setting up Client Files
- Proofreading or drafting relevant documents
- Assisting solicitors with the proofreading or drafting of correspondence
- Drafting documents per the Managing Partner’s instructions
- Collating court bundles for use during litigation
- Amending and drafting settlement agreements
- Fielding telephone calls, manning the Firm’s online chat portal to obtain client details for solicitor call backs
- Meeting clients when they are visiting the office to attend meetings, hand in documents or sign paperwork
- Assisting solicitors with administrative requests and coordinating with the rest of the support team to ensure all requests are dealt with in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Paralegal or legal administration experience and/or Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field
- Excellent written and oral skills
- Excellent attention to detail and high attentiveness
- The ability to work within tight deadlines
- High adaptability and proactivity
- A professional and client-focused demeanour
- Fast/Accurate typing skills with a comprehensive knowledge of Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat DC
- Although no prior paralegal experience is required, experience with administrative work in a law firm (particularly employment law or litigation) or proficiency in legal software is preferred
