We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join the finance team of a highly respected London-based law firm with a long-standing reputation for excellence. This is a full-time role that would suit a finalist or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong background in management accounting. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative and high-performing finance function, contributing to key operational and strategic decisions.

The position will focus on the preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts, budget management, and overhead reporting. While core responsibilities centre around standard management accounting activities, there will also be scope to support profitability analysis for new client proposals on an ad hoc basis, using well-established templates.

In addition, the role involves business partnering, particularly in support of monthly CFO meetings and occasional deep-dive analysis requested by senior stakeholders, including the Managing Partner.

We are looking for someone with experience in a professional services environment, ideally within the legal sector. You’ll need to be comfortable working across both structured processes and ad hoc requests, demonstrating strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly communicate financial insights to non-finance colleagues. A confident, proactive approach and strong Excel capabilities are essential.

The salary for this position has a broad range of £55,000 – £70,000 depending on experience. Candidates with two or more years PQE and relevant sector experience will be considered at the top end of the band.
