Are you newly qualified, or close to qualifying, and thinking about what’s next? I’m working with a global commodities business who are looking to hire a Junior Trade Accountant into their London Accounts team, supporting a busy cocoa trading desk.
In this role, you’ll support two Trade Accountants with day-to-day and month-end activities, including daily P&L, cash accounting, reconciliations and journals. You’ll also work closely with an offshore accounting team, help with month-end processes, respond to ad-hoc queries from trading and shipping teams, and get involved in projects, system improvements and process enhancements.
This opportunity would suit you if you’re part-qualified and actively studying or recently qualified through ACCA, CIMA or ACA. Unfortunately, this role isn’t suitable if you’re qualified solely through AAT or hold a degree without professional qualification progression.
Strong Excel skills, attention to detail and an interest in the commodity trading space are important. Experience in commodities, logistics/shipping or energy would be beneficial, though it’s not essential for the right person.
The salary is up to £65,000, depending on experience, and the role offers excellent exposure to trade accounting within a commercial, fast-paced environment.
